Peer Mentor Youth Volunteer | Help Younger Boys Feel Seen and Supported
Role Description
Peer Mentors are youth volunteers ages 16–25 who stand beside boys in our boys mentorship program. You help with group sessions, homework time, and simple goal setting. You model respect, steady habits, and calm choices. You work with staff and adult mentors, follow clear safety steps, and keep short notes so progress is easy to track.
Responsibilities
- Support group skills sessions and help boys take part
- Offer homework help, reading time, and simple study plans
- Model respectful talk, on-time habits, and follow-through
- Encourage two small goals each month and note wins
- Check in with staff and adult mentors after sessions
Qualifications
- Ages 16–25, patient, kind, and ready to listen
- Reliable schedule; able to use text and simple forms
- Completes short training and follows child safety rules
